Laurie Schreiber manages Designs in Eyewear. Staffed by Cindy Leja, Rosemary DeLuca, and Lydia Brown, it's a full-service, state-of-the-art operation. The licensed opticians have over 50 combined years of experience. Every pair of glasses is backed by a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Minor repairs and adjustments can usually be finished while you wait. Our in-house lab facility allows us to process most prescriptions in a week or less. Ordering your eyeglasses from the doctor's office saves you valuable personal time and allows any medical questions to be answered on the spot.
Designs in Eyewear accepts most HMO insurances. Blue Choice and Preferred Care members receive a 20% discount on their eyeglasses. As a reminder, Blue Choice and Preferred Care insurances cover between 80%-100% of the cost of your new eyeglasses following cataract surgery.

We carry frames from all over the world including Belgium and France as well as those made right here in the U.S.A.
Our Optical Department at 2100 South Clinton Avenue is open Monday-Friday from 9:00-5:00, closing each day for lunch 12:30-1:30. Every other Thursday we are also open until 6:30p.m.
The 2300 West Ridge Road Optical Department is open Monday from 1:00-7:00, Tuesday-Friday 8:30-5:00, closing 12:30-1:30 for lunch. Appointments can be arranged outside these hours.
Very often the best time to make use of our services is when you are here to see your doctor for your complete eye exam. Usually you will have time when your eyes are dilating to stop up at Designs in Eyewear.
You can try on our latest selection of frames or simply have your current glasses adjusted or cleaned.
